After conversations with our partners, it was decided not to include Ivory or Jergens soap in the Period Packs. These two brands have a shorter shelf life and have been known to mold faster. Please note: This only applies to CWS Period Packs. Currently, CWS is still accepting those brands in our Hygiene Kits.

Laundry detergent sheets are packed with pre-measured concentrated detergent and dissolve in the wash cycle. They can also be used in a sink. Please make sure to put the 6 laundry sheets in a small Ziploc bag before placing them in the larger bag.

No. All wipes should be unscented. If you can’t find unscented flushable wipes in the store, they can be found online. Here is an example.

The items included in the menstrual hygiene kits were selected first and foremost to meet the health and safety needs of the people we serve in our domestic programs. Unfortunately, many of these individuals lack permanent housing, are in transit or otherwise do not have reliable access to spaces where they can easily clean and sanitize reusable products. In order to provide support to as many people as possible in communities across the United States, we have also prioritized products that are readily available and cost efficient.
